WOw, how beautiful. I love how it's like greyish around the sides too, and the image itself. *_*

Thank you so much!! I wasn't sure about the greyish on the edges, I keep flip flopping between liking it and hating it :P

Believe it or not, this was taken on a Fuji S1000. The clouds were offering just enough cover that day to produce perfect lighting, at least for this shot -- I was very lucky!

Shhh ya! that is an amazing picture it just goes to show that the type of camera means nothing when you know how to take beautiful pictures and the lighting is perfect. :D

Thank you so much! In hindsight, there's a few things I'd do different, but every shot is a learning experience....

And no, the type of camera really doesn't matter at all. Some of it is skill, some of it really is luck, being in the right place at the right time. For instance, a friend of mine was recently selected as a finalist in a Photographer's Forum magazine contest....with a shot she took on her iPhone. There's more a lot more to photography than the camera :)

Besides, if there's one thing I learned in fine art school, it was to do what you can with what you have, and to do it prolifically.... I can't even tell you how many paintings I have on stained cardboard because I couldn't afford canvas! And of course, those are my favs....

I completely agree. Most of my favorite drawings, paintings and photographs of mine were doodles or just right place right light. Even my paintings were painted on things like cardbored and (i forget what its called) this really sandy/woody like bar. hahahaha
My friend who got into CCAD told me she learned that the "mistakes" she made were always her best and favorites. ^^ :D

"Happy little mistakes", as Bob Ross would say :P

Good luck in the contest! I love that old barn....
